What Puts Us Ahead of the Rest of the Game Making Pack
On both sides of the Taiwan Straits, our production teams are
composed of artists of exceptional skill, game producers of
exceptional experience, and designers of the highest caliber. Still,
we realized that this was not enough to allow us to create the
finest gaming software in the world. And so, we decided to add an
element to our games that we found lacking in our competitors:
realism.
To this end, our team set out on a mission of legendary proportion:
to seek out the finest martial artists in China and, through the
wonder of human / computer interface, digitize and catalogue their
every move for use in our games. As a result, we can proudly say
that our digital database of martial arts moves, derived from
ancient Chinese martial arts, is second to none in the industry. So
when you play one of our martial arts inspired games, you'll feel
the authenticity in every move.
Proprietary 3D game engine
Our 3D game engine is based on DirectX 8.0 with a cross-platform
design, making console porting a snap. Some of the features our
engine offers are:

Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOG)
InterServ has the experience, know-how, and infrastructure to
effectively implement and manage the next generation of Massively
Multiplayer Online Games. In fact, we are currently the only company
in Taiwan offering a fully 3D MMOG. Our development infrastructure
for such games includes the following:
• MMOG Platform (3D, distributed objects, security, flow control)
• MMOG Production (development of MMOG)
• Front-end Systems (billing, registration, login)
• Back-end Systems (game management)
• Customer Service (online and offline)
• A live, dedicated team on-call 24/7
Our current MMORPG, Swordman Online (based on the popular Jin Yong
novel series), has a user base of 120,000 and has been operating
successfully for well over a year thanks to our infrastructure
setup. A live, online GameMaster team and an offline customer
support team in both Taiwan and Shanghai keep everything running
smoothly, while developers continue to add content to the huge game
world in the form of update versions. To support the load of all of
the Swordman Online players, our servers in mainland China and
Taiwan have a combined concurrent user total of 25,000.
